How to Make a Trap Beat in FL Studio

Follow these steps
Set the Tempo
Set your project tempo to approximately 140-160 BPM. This fast tempo allows for the signature 'double-time' feel used in Trap music.
Sequence the Half-Time Snare
Place a snare or clap on the 3rd beat of every bar (steps 9 and 25). This creates the spacious, half-time rhythmic foundation.
Draw Hi-Hat Rolls
In the Piano Roll, use the 1/3 or 1/6 snap settings to draw rapid bursts of notes. These 'rolls' are a defining characteristic of the genre.
Layer a Simple Melody
